The Ton of Turkey Drive returns this holiday season to KKVM! The goal of the drive is to collect 2,000 pounds of turkey that will then be distributed throughout the Vail Valley via the Salvation Army. During the two weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, listeners can drop off turkeys at various locations throughout the valley including: our studio in Edwards Riverwalk, the Vail Daily Building in Eagle-Vail or Pazzos Pizza in the Eagle location next to the Back Bowl. The Salvation Army will be distributing all of the collected turkeys during Food Basket Day on November 23rd. Additionally, to add some fun to the drive the station will suspend one of our DJs on a cherry picker in Edwards Riverwalk until we reach our goal of 2,000 lbs of turkey collected.
